Boys Jr. Basketball League | Grades: 1-2
Girls Jr. Basketball League | Grades: 1-3- register online

Join our exciting basketball league designed for first second grade boys - or first, second, and third grade girls. The league focuses on instructional play until the New Year when players will be assigned to teams for weekly games. We will try to keep the games at the scheduled classtimes; however, if we do not have enough participants at both times offered, we will have to shift the game times to 4pm or 4:45pm. Our knowledgeable Menomonee basketball staff will teach boys the ins and outs of positional and strategic play. Experienced staff coaches, real refs, and real rules! This is a great way for your child to join the Menomonee basketball tradition. Baskets are lowered to 9’ for this program. Team shirt and season-ending trophy provided.

With 10 years of experience running quality, instructional youth basketball programs in the Chicagoland area, One-on-One Basketball is excited to bring its dedicated and engaging staff to the Menomonee youth basketball leagues this winter. Our knowledgable coaches will run weekly clinics and games focusing on fundamental individual and team concepts of the sport, with the ultimate goal of overall improvement during the season. We want to be sure to keep your child excited about learning and participating in our favorite sport. All players will have guaranteed playing time as we help build their confidence with a positive teaching approach and stress strong work habits and sportsmanship to improve their character on and off the court
Practices are once a week and game start times are Saturdays between 9:30 and 11:30 am. You register for your individual practice time.

One-on-One Little Hoopers
Youth Basketball | Ages: 3-5

One-on-One’s dedicated instructors will conduct weekly 45-minute clinics as an
introduction to basketball and physical fitness for you and your children. Classes will be adult interactive as participants learn the fundamentals of the sport with an emphasis on dribbling and ball handling. Classes will also include basic footwork and hand-eye coordination drills and games, as well as learning the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. Indoor Soccer | Ages: 4-8 - register online

Come join Edgars Legzdins for some soccer fun. Edgars will teach boys and girls the ins and outs of soccer. Individual skill training is enhanced through sportsmanship and teamwork concepts. Edgars has been playing soccer all his life in club and overseas teams, and has coached soccer at the high school level. Edgars has trained U8, U9, and U13 boys and girls teams with Pegasus Soccer Club in Deerfield and the Northbrook FC Soccer Club. Shin guards are recommended for this class.

Lil’ Kickers Soccer for Kids

Lil’ Kickers is a non-competitive, introductory soccer and movement skills program for boys and girls ages 18 months to 5 years. In Lil’ Kickers we don’t just teach soccer to kids, but use soccer to teach kids about teamwork and cooperation. Lil’ Kickers is the ultimate child development program. The Menomonee Club Fencing Team

The Menomonee Club Fencing Team provides a great introduction to fencing, along with a forum for more advanced training. The team classes are fun and educational with games, drills, and a lot of fencing! Fencing Club | Ages: 8-Adult - register online

Fun and educational classes provide a great introduction to fencing and a forum for more advanced training. Taught by Tsanko Hantov and Windy City Fencing. Tsanko competed in the 2000 Olympic Games and won a Bronze medal at the 2001 World Cup (England) in the Modern Pentathlon. He was a National Senior Champion in 1998 and a National Junior Champion in 1995 and 1996 men’s epee in Bulgaria. Tsanko has coached fencing for more than seven years and has been the owner and head coach of Windy City Fencing since 2005. A graduate of the National Sports Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria, he has extensive experience training fencers at all levels. Instructor approval is needed for all advanced classes. Lil Sluggers | Ages: 2-6

Lil Sluggers is a child development program created to introduce children ages 2-6 to the game of baseball. Classes develop important baseball skills such as throwing, catching, hitting, and base running. Developmentally appropriate equipment and games are used to teach your child the game in a fun, exciting, and positive environment. Learn the classic Japanese Olympic sport as we teach it - with a modern twist. Our supportive staff will help kids develop self-confidence, self-discipline, coordination, and agility. Our successful program has been recognized by the United States Judo Federation for excellence in teaching and has produced many recent local, regional, national and international champions. Taught by Sensei Brett Wolf, a former national champion with over 20 years of experience. Returning students must check with Sensei for class level.

Speed and Agility Camp for All Sports and General Fitness For Boys and Girls | Ages 9–16 - register online

Tri-Fitness/Growing Strong is partnering with Menomonee Club for Boys and Girls to offer a speed and agility camp specifically designed for young athletes. The most important element of our camp is that the kids are having FUN while learning the techniques they need to perform better in sports. We teach the kids how to enhance their multi-directional speed, agility, coordination, strength, power, and balance to improve their athleticism and general fitness. Our coaching staff has many years of experience training and coaching both youth and adult clients. All our coaches are certified Youth Fitness Specialist by the IYCA (International Youth Conditioning Association). The IYCA is the only specialized educational curriculum for coaches and trainers developing training programs for children and adolescents.

Taekwondo | Ages: 3 and Up - register online

These action-packed classes feature the secret arts and awesome techniques of Taekwondo (a Korean martial art). An Olympic sport utilizing exciting blocks, kicks, and punches, Taekwondo also develops control and self-discipline. Taekwondo teaches techniques that can be used for both self-defense and competition. Students will be instructed by Grand Master Kidd, who is a certified and licensed instructor by the United States Taekwondo Union and holds a sixth degree black belt (World Taekwondo Federation). Grand Master Kidd is the highest ranked non-Korean martial artist in Illinois, and has over 20 years teaching experience. It is recommended for students, but not required, to take classes twice weekly.

Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago
Ages: 7-17 yrs youth with physical disabilities

RIC Caring for kids provides year-round adaptive sports and recreation programs including two 4-week summer camps for youth ages 7-17 specifically with physical disabilities. Caring for Kids also offers weekly Sunday yoga and karate classes at the Drucker center through Yoga for the Special Child and thousand wave Martial Arts and Self-Defense Center.
